St Swithin’s Church sits at the top of a hill in Holmesfield, with views across Sheffield, Chesterfield and the Peak District. As a site of Christian worship since Saxon times and with the Holy Spirit leading us into new things, we are both ‘a high place to go deep’ and ‘a light on the hill’. The Grade II listed building, dating from 1826, has been extended to feature an accessible multi-purpose hall and meeting room. Services are a mix of traditional and contemporary: choral communions and special services, but also baptisms and informal monthly services, as well as monthly Celtic Evening Prayer services. We seek to grow God’s Kingdom by caring for each other and those around us; encouraging discipleship and spiritual growth through everyone’s involvement in church life.
